Greater quality
of life
Promoting health care and well-being using different transport infrastructure as platforms, contributes not only to the prevention of accidents but also increases the quality of life of the infrastructure users and the bordering communities to the routes and means of transport. OHL Concesiones maintain permanent collaboration with the health authorities in each country, supporting vaccination, blood donation and preventive health campaigns with information, and where appropriate, the infrastructure and facilities themselves.
Additionally, as part of the road safety campaigns, the rescue teams from different concessionaires, along with volunteer medical staff, provide general medical examinations for drivers, motorcyclists and cyclists in order to detect risk situations.
In Brazil, due to the large volume of heavy vehicles that travel along the managed toll roads, the company has promoted a specific health program for carriers. This program, developed in coordination with health authorities, universities and medical volunteers, provides a free quality public service. In 2010 the company performed, 35,563 medical examinations and the application of 5,908 vaccines.
