The 9-km-long Northern Urban Toll Road comprises the northern section of Mexico City’s urban toll expressway that connects the highways to Querétaro, Toluca and Cuernavaca. On its far north end, the infrastructure, which is 100% equipped with an electronic toll collecting system, integrates the connection of the second levels of the Anillo Periférico where it intersects with the Bicentennial Elevated Viaduct.

Benefits for society

The infrastructure significantly improves urban mobility by reducing the travel time in a north-south direction and offers quick access both for the central area of the Mexican capital as well as for the business and residential areas of Las Lomas and Santa Fe.

The toll road was designed to enhance the competitiveness of Mexico City through the development of high-level engineering projects, to contribute to the design of the road system in the area and to join in with the objectives of the Federal District Government’s Green Plan.
