OHL México is listed on the FTSE4Good index for sustainable companies

OHL México, was selected to join the FTSE4Good index of London Stock Exchange, which includes companies with the strongest environmental, social and governance (ESG) practices in the world. 

This achievement for OHL México came after the biannual review of the FTSE4Good indexes last June, which covered over 4,000 public companies within 47 countries. The revision consists of the evaluation of more than 300 indicators that are classified in 14 subjects within environmental, social, and governance pillars, based on available public information, guaranteeing the data’s credibility and the market’s transparency. 

The assessed subjects were climate change, biodiversity, working conditions, human rights, risk management, and anti-corruption. It should be noted that in this last subject OHL México received 4 out of 5 in the evaluation, meaning 80% of the highest score.

The FTSE4Good indexes are designed by FTSE Russell to provide investors with a transparent and objective benchmark of companies meeting environmental, social and governance (ESG) practices and performance thresholds. The FTSE Emerging Indexes covers over 20 emerging countries and was launched in 2016. FTSE Russell has more than 15 years of experience in data analysis, ratings, and ESG indexes worldwide.

Sustainable investments increased globally by 25% between 2014 and 2015, According to the Global Sustainable Investment Alliance.
